Top Hair Loss Causes
September 16th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedIn our world today both men and women can be affected by total hair loss.If and when new hair loss is discovered there are many hair medications and treatments available. Our self esteem can really be affected when the luxury of hair is taken away.Demoralizing and depressing: Are just a couple of words used to describe the way someone feels when noticing that they have shedding hair or thinning hair.
There are different types and variations of new hair loss causes. There are some that are caused by elements and diseases through exposure and some that are naturally caused. One of the most common and normal causes is that of shedding hair that happens on a daily basis. This is a normal two to six year growth cycle and each strand of hair has its own cycle which is why when we bathe or brush our hair we shed some strands and not others.
Uncommon Hair Loss Causes
For women who had just given birth, they can expect to lose a lot of hair within a few months. Hair loss causes of this kind are due to the hormonal imbalance that happens to women who just gave birth.Hormonal imbalance is actually one of the main hair loss causes that happen to people. People who have hyperthyroidism also experience hair loss due to a hormonal imbalance and so do women who go through menopause.Other hair loss causes are the side effects of exposure to elements and other chemicals (like chemotherapy) and a post operative side effect. The follicles are not harmed in these procedures and hair grows back as soon as exposure is reduced or stopped. Some medications are major hair loss causes along with deep head injuries that result to scarring. For these kinds of hair loss causes, the follicles themselves are killed when the head obtained the injury and there is no way of growing them back.
Hair loss causes that are natural occurrences include a genetic susceptibility to male pattern baldness (females can also be affected by this) or thinning hair. Another of the plethora of hair loss causes is frequent tying of the hair strands in a tight manner.
Pony tails can cause the follicles to die out and break your hair ,although dead follicles after some time will grow back again when pressure of tying these pony tails are reduced. With the use of hair medications such as shampoos and conditioners will improve the looks of the hair and reduce the shedding hair problem. Eating a healthy diet will help with healthy hair growth and prevent any new hair loss.

Hairloss in Females: Is It A Growing Problem ?
July 9th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedSurprisingly it is estimated that hair loss is an issue for about 30 million women In America.Females as young as 15 years old are the earliest to see signs according to dermatologists. Most women know that their hair is their pride and Joy and in the New Testament a womans hair is referred to as her crown. It seems More women are going bald then ever in most recent times according to the American Academy Of Dermatology.
Male Pattern Baldness
Male pattern baldness occurs mostly in men but is also responsible for some female hair loss. In male pattern baldness, also called androgenic alopecia, your genes dictate whether you are going to go hairless or not. There’s not much hope for regrowing the hair for those with male-pattern baldness, but now this has happened.Dermatologists now believe that this happened in women far less than previously thought. Some even do not like using the words “male pattern baldness” and “woman” in the same sentence, as they believe we still need to find the hormones that control a woman’s hair growth. Why doesn’t a woman have a receding hair line or bald spots like men who have male pattern baldness? We do not know.
Reporting Changes
A long time ago, a woman’s hair was a very private affair. It just wasn’t talked about. In some societies like strict Hasidic Jewish sects, women have to shave their heads and wear wigs. In some societies, women cannot be seen in public with their heads uncovered. The hair of a woman was a magically sensuous object, ready to lead any man into temptation.
In the Western world, medicine is easier to come by and the taboos for what you can talk about with your doctor have mostly lifted. There is a theory that the reason for why there seems to be more female hair loss than ever before is that now women are comfortable talking to their doctors about it.
In some instances major illness can lead to signs of hair loss. With malnutrition there is a fight for the body to maintain itself and it doesn’t have enough energy for the hair to keep growing. When ever there is a situation such as sudden hairloss for example clumps coming out all at one time and not just hair strands this would definitely constitute a visit to the doctor. It would be tough to get the proper hairloss cure or treatment until the proper diagnosis is done which involves blood work and a scalp biopsy.

Hairloss in men
May 9th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedLoss of hair in men hair at the temples recedes and the crown can also begin to thin.In time a horse shoe pattern around the sides of the head appears.
The main signs of hair loss in men:
1. Receding hairline
2. Moderate to extensive hair loss, particularly on the crown of the head
Nearly ninety-five percent of hair loss in men is attributable to Androgenic Alopecia also know as male pattern baldness. Some imagine this condition includes three factors:
1) age
2) heredity
3) the male hormone testosterone
As hair loss in men progresses, the hair becomes finer, does not grow so long and the bald spot at the crown widens. Finally, the thinning crown and the receding points may meet forming a horseshoe pattern with hair around the sides of the head. Hair loss in men can begin as early as 20 although for the majority of men, loss of hair is more recognizable from the age of 35 to 40. DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) is recognized as a main culprit. DHT is a combination of testosterone and androgen receptors mixed with sebum and dirt particles. Some hair follicles are particularly sensitive to DHT and tend to shrink when exposed to it. Finally the particle of hair may quit altogether and the hair falls out. Another condition is called Alopecia Areata, in which hair comes out by the roots in one or more spots. Not as common than Androgenic Alopecia. Other causes of hair loss in men can include scalp infections, nutritional deficiency, systemic illness, and extreme stress. So as far as Hair Loss Cures and hairloss help is concerned We have a lot to deal with but stay tunned for more on this subject.
